The units

Two units, one yard

Unit 2 is the bond: fire-certified, ambient, built for casks to sleep. Unit 3 is the dry store directly across the yard, for everything that isn't maturing yet.

How it works

One warehousekeeper, two ways in

Mount Leinster Distillers holds the bond as proprietor warehousekeeper. Every bonded customer comes in under that authorisation, so you never need a bond of your own.

Option A

Single tenant, both units

Take the whole of Unit 2 and Unit 3 for your own stock, and choose how much of the running you want to do.

Managed storageWe run the bond for you: receipt, stock control, EMCS movements and Revenue compliance.
Tenant warehousekeeperYou run your own stock under your own Revenue tenant authorisation, with us as proprietor.
Option B

Shared space, fully managed

Space across both units, let by the cask, the pallet or the bay to several customers. We do the handling and the paperwork; you see everything in the portal.

From a single palletSmall parcels welcome. No need to take a whole cell or commit to a whole unit.
Bonded and dry togetherMature in Unit 2, keep your empties and packaging in Unit 3.

Third-party bonded storage is subject to Revenue approval. Pricing, terms and insurance come in a proposal tailored to your requirement.

A private farm site at the end of its own 220 m avenue, between Carlow town and Bagenalstown, ten minutes from the M9 and an easy run to Dublin Port, Rosslare and Waterford.

Who we are

Run by a whiskey brand, not a logistics shed

Larch Grove is the Walsh family farm, and home to Flying Tumbler Irish Whiskey. We source, mature, blend and bottle our own whiskey from Unit 1 on the same yard, with around 1,500 casks of our own maturing here.

So someone who knows whiskey is on site every working day, and your casks sit right next to ours.

The road to opening

The certificates are in and the works are under way. We're taking early interest now so space can be held ahead of opening.

  1. Apr 2024Access certificate

    Disability Access Certificate granted (DAC2401121CW).

  2. Jun 2024Fire certificate

    Fire Safety Certificate granted (3015553). Certified works now under way.

  3. Jan–Feb 2027Revenue approval

    Tax warehouse approval expected, with EMCS in place before opening.

  4. Spring 2027First casks in

    Unit 2 and Unit 3 open together. Reserved space fills first.
